Despite Google’s memo about how guest blogging will no longer be a viable tactic for growing your SEO, it must be taken within the right context. Read this very helpful truths and tips from Brian Honigman and discover the beauty of guest blogging.
Glad we’re doing the four strategies. “Guest blogging is still a match made in heaven in term of SEO as long as the website where your guest post is shared is of quality and the links being included in your content are of quality as well.” — summary
Thanks for the share Robin. I think guest blogging (in fact all kinds of link building) is just a reminder for us to always aim for quality. We should focus on making great content, rather than creating too much but doesn’t makes sense.
I have a question. With Google’s recent actions against guest blogging networks, is it still wise to contribute or participate, in any way, with similar networks? If yes, what networks would you recommend?
I don’t think it’s still wise to contribute in guest blogging networks. I remember how ezine used to work before, and now I don’t really recommend it to anyone. In terms of guest blogging, I prefer to tap high quality websites. It’s better to have few backlinks from high quality websites, than plenty spammy ones. (Just an opinion)
I don’t recommend guest blogging networks or even article directories because they are the one who are more prone to penalize by google. Most of the article directories and guest blogging networks are now use for building links only and not a quality content.
